There was a time on Coronado when you had a few options for fresh doughnuts. There used to be a bakery (now Village Pizzeria) and a doughnut/coffee shop (now Boney’s Bayside Market). I know that it’s more healthy to avoid those “round fat pills”, but I’ve been really craving them lately. Clayton’s has doughnuts occasionally, but not the huge selection that makes a perfect dozen. It’s certainly not as important as our traffic issue or the upcoming council election, but sometimes on a Saturday morning, I really miss a good glazed, sugar twist, rainbow sprinkles, old fashioned buttermilk or chocolate bar with a cup of coffee.
Where have all the doughnuts gone?
