Women Presidents’ Organization Hosts Annual Conference at Loews Coronado Bay Resort

WPO and Loews work with local rescue mission to provide food for community shelters SAN DIEGO – The Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) will host its annual conference, entitled Sustainability: Securing the Future, on April 23- 25, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. Loews has partnered with the San Diego Rescue Mission to ensure that extra food from the conference will be picked up, delivered and served to local San Diego shelters. The WPO Conference will be held at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. Loews has partnered with the San Diego Rescue Mission (SDRM), a non-profit organization that provides food for shelters and homeless people throughout San Diego County. The SDRM has a system in place where they will come and pick up any extra food Loews has and bring it to their shelters. There are 33 shelters in San Diego, which allows the SDRM to pick up, cook and serve the food all within the same day. Through the WPO, a diverse group of women presidents are able to tap into the collective wisdom of their peers and advance their business success. Local WPO chapters are coordinated by a professional facilitator and meet monthly to share business expertise and experience in a confidential and collaborative setting. In eleven years, the WPO membership has grown to over 1300 members strong in the United States, Canada, Peru and the UK. “Loews Hotels understands the importance of making steady, measured progress in improving environmental practices,” said Kathleen Cochran, general manager of Loews Coronado Bay Resort. “We’re thrilled to set the scene for the Women Presidents’ Organization as they explore sustainability.” For additional information, please contact the WPO at 212-688-4114 or for more conference information visit www.womenpresidentsorg.com/2009conf/index.html If you are interested in attending as press contact [email protected] # # # About the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO): The WPO is the premier peer advisory organization connecting top women entrepreneurs who own multi-million dollar companies ($2 million in gross annual sales or $1 million for service-based business).
