I Love You, Coronado

While there are many very serious items that people write about to the editor, today, on a light note, I am sending a song/poem for my beautiful town, Coronado. Only some of the words are my own, the rest come from the official California state song called “I Love You, California.”  I have lived in Coronado 20 years, and each day I love her more and more.

My song is: “I Love You, Coronado”

I love you Coronado, you’re the greatest town of all.
I love you in the winter, summer, spring and in the fall.
I love your friendly people; your village I adore.
I love your grand old hotel and I love your silver shore.

This is only one stanza of the song, maybe others will look up the California song and write more stanzas for Coronado.

Thank you,
Alice Rodriguez
