Crimes:
4/3/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 100 block of B Avenue
Unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked vehicle and removed the victim’s wallet. There were no suspects seen or identified, and the value of the property taken was approximately $2,220.
4/2/18-4/3/18: Petty Theft near 200 block of C Avenue
Unknown suspect cut the lock on the victim’s bicycle and fled with the bicycle in an unknown direction. The estimated value of the bicycle is approximately $150.
3/31/18: Burglary of the First Degree near 1500 block of First Street
In the middle of the night, unknown suspect entered an occupied residential property. Witness verbally confronted the suspect while he was in a bedroom searching through drawers. The suspect fled the property without further incident. Victim called 9-1-1 after the witness woke her and told her about the incident. There was no monetary loss.
3/30/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 100 block of I Avenue
Unknown suspect entered victim’s residential garage and stole his unlocked bicycle. The total loss of the bike is $2,500.
3/30/18: Petty Theft near 700 block of E Avenue
Unknown suspect stole victim’s beach cruiser bicycle that was parked under the stairwell in front of her apartment. The bicycle had a black basket attached that contained a helmet and a combination bicycle lock. The total value of the bicycle, basket, helmet, and lock is approximately $400.
3/29/18-3/30/18: Burglary of the First Degree near 100 block of Montego Bay Court
Unknown suspect removed miscellaneous items from victim’s vehicle. The loss of the stolen items was valued at $200.
3/29/18: Making a Fictitious Check near 100 block of Bahama Bend
The reporting party posted an online advertisement to sell a barbeque grill for $50. An unknown potential buyer sent the reporting party a check for $1,600 with instructions to keep a portion and wire the remaining money. The reporting party recognized it as a scam and did not cash the check or lose possession of the property he was selling.
3/29/18: Obtaining Money By False Pretenses near 600 block of Adella Lane
Unknown suspect, pretending to be a car salesman, scammed the victim out of $44,000.
