This week, Coronado’s Softball team played two games, the first on Wednesday at Madison High School. “We came out hitting the ball hard and a strong pitching performance by Emma Casamassima, who struck out 9 players, gave us our fourth win of the season,” shared Coach Tony Isabella. The winning score for Coronado was 11-3.
The following day, the team traveled to Morse High School for the first time this season. Morse gained a four-run lead in four innings, scoring a fifth run in the sixth and two more runs in the seventh. The final score was 6-7, a victory for Morse. “However, we did have 11 hits,” Coach Isabella commented. “Casamassima and Laiken Warner narrowly missed home runs with two hard hits, and we recorded a total of five doubles.”
Varsity softball has a current record of four wins to six losses.
