City of Coronado Master Mechanic, Manny Gonzalez, was recognized with a Citation Award from the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) on March 23rd for the high quality of service he has provided to City of Coronado employees and specifically to the recreation department for the past 12 years. At the county-wide awards ceremony in Encinitas, the CPRS Chairperson, along with Encinitas Mayor Kristin Gaspar, presented this award to Manny for his dedication to the ongoing operation and maintenance of City of Coronado vehicles. The award stated that Manny’s high level of training of the commercial drivers in the recreation department has allowed the number of after school and adventure programs for youth and teens in Coronado to increase.
