Congratulations to this year’s student hosts for the Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) Telethon: Nathan Cohenca and Brett VanLandingham representing Silver Strand Elementary, Jesse Hill and Jared Frances representing Village Elementary, Andres Delalama and Sasha Wong from Coronado Middle School, and Sam McNeal, Cheyne Ostrander, and Lucas Darquea from Coronado High School. Joining them will be the principals from each school site as they welcome CSF business partners and community members onto the stage to accept donations, announce live student acts, read YOUR name as a donor, and showcase the excitement and activity going on at the Family Carnival in the quad.
While other students were hard at work preparing to shine on stage with their performances ranging from musical numbers to performances from rock bands and more, CSF staff had an afternoon meeting and photo shoot to prep and train our hard-working young TV personalities at Spreckels Park on everything telethon – CSF Locals Card, this year’s Be the Spark theme, STAR contest, call times, etc.
Make sure you see the results of their hard work and take part in the fun on March 10th at Coronado High School! The live show kicks off at 5:00 pm. The popular Telethon Family Carnival in the Quad is back this year at 4:30 pm with activities that are sure to please kids of all ages! For a nominal fee, activities include Karaoke, Sumo Wrestling, face painting, and carnival games for families and the community to enjoy. The CHS Senior Class will have a Candelas taco cart and drinks, with proceeds benefitting their year-end activities.  Can’t be there in person?  Watch it live on Coronado TV channel 19 (Time Warner) or 99 (AT&T) or from csfkids.org! Please CALL in that night or make your donation TODAY and Be the Spark…Ignite a Passion for Learning.
