Turkey Trot Fun for the Whole Family

turkey trot logoFor the Duda family, visiting from Indian Trails, North Carolina, Coronado’s 2nd annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot was an invigorating start to their Thanksgiving Day.  They have a tradition to run a turkey trot every year they are together for Thanksgiving.  We think Coronado was an ideal setting for their run this year!

The Dudas are here visiting Michael’s sister, Jeannie Groeneveld, who is stationed at North Island. We picked a random family to profile, and had a pleasant surprise at the end of the race when Jeannie took first place in the Female 40-44 group. Congratulations Jeannie, you deserve a second helping of pumpkin pie today!

Coronado’s family friendly Turkey Trot is put on by the Coronado Unit of the Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary with generous support from local sponsors.
