State Senator Block visits Coronado, celebrates bill

State Senator Marty Block (D-San Diego), City of Coronado officials and Hotel del Coronado executive staff will celebrate approval of his measure aimed at allowing the City of Coronado more time to seek public comment as it moves to adopt an Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan.

SB 758 (Block) provides Coronado city officials with two years instead of 180 days to address any required updates to its general and local coastal plans. Coronado’s coastal location and its proximity to large military installations add complexity to the review and public input process required to adopt the Airport Land Use Compatibility Plan.
