CoSA Classical and Contemporary Dance presents Maleficent: the Untold Story — shows this weekend

Coronado School of the Arts Classical and Contemporary Dance proudly presents Maleficent: the Untold Story. Student choreographers have re-imagined the story from the point-of-view of the villian. Hannah Frey and Madeleine Chiba portray the dual aspects of Maleficent’s character, evil and remorseful. Performers in other key roles are: Dominique Chapman as Aurora, Johnny Cox as the Prince, Lucas Aguilar as the King, Beatrice Benson as the Crow, and Katerina Sudakova, Heather Noonan and Marissa Canton as the Fairies.

A variety of dance styles will be woven throughout, including a ballet solo and pas de deux, a pop-lockin’ King, jazz/hip-hop group dances, and smaller contemporary dance ensembles choreographed by CoSA’s award-winning faculty and students.

Performances are Saturday December 6 at 7:00 pm and Sunday December 7 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $18 for adults, $14 for senior/military, $8 for non-CUSD students, $6 for CUSD students/staff. Tickets will be available at the box office 45 minutes before the show.
