Cops and Robbers: Two Robberies by Force Against Victims (5/1/19-5/9/19)

Thanks to the Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

Crimes:

5/9/19: Grand Theft near 400 block of E Avenue

Unknown suspect took the victim’s backpack from the residence carport area. The value of the property taken was approximately $1,760. Two of the victim’s credit cards were used at local stores before they were cancelled.

5/7/19: Report of Domestic Violence at Undisclosed Location

Subjects were involved in a verbal argument inside their residence.

5/7/19: Petty Theft near 1800 block of Strand Way

Unknown suspect took the victim’s red iPhone XR from the basketball court of the Coronado Community Recreation Center. The iPhone is valued at $800.

5/6/19-5/7/19: Grand Theft Property near 400 block of J Avenue

Unknown suspect used unknown means to enter victim’s white vehicle. Suspect stole approximately $1,435 worth of personal property. No visible signs of forced entry were discovered on the vehicle. No witnesses or evidence were located at the scene.

5/6/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 200 block of Ocean Drive

Coronado Lifeguards found graffiti on Tower 6C, written on the tower in black and green marker.

5/6/19: Grand Theft near 400 block of Orange Avenue

Victim reported her Electra Townie beach cruiser stolen from the parking garage in the basement of her residence building. The value of the bike is $1,500.

5/5/19-5/7/19: Petty Theft near 600 block of Orange Avenue

Unknown suspect forcefully opened several locked DVD cases, removed and stole the DVDs valued at $219.90.

5/5/19: Petty Theft near 800 block of H Avenue

Victim left a filming light for a several hours in the alley behind a residence and it was taken by a person driving through the alley in a truck. The approximate value of the light is $750.

5/5/19: Tampering With Automobile near 700 block of B Avenue

Unknown suspect removed side door paneling from the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene undetected. The cost to repair the damage is unknown at this time.

5/4/19: Robbery near 1700 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

Three Hispanic male suspects snuck up behind two male victims who were seated on the window sills of their parked vehicle. Two of the suspects were armed. Both victims were physically pulled out of the windows and held on the ground by force. The victims’ property was taken from their persons and their vehicle. The total loss of the property was $2,800.

5/3/19: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near Grand Caribe Causeway

Unknown suspect used and white and maroon spray paint to vandalize a Port District concrete bench and two plastic trashcans.

5/3/19: Robbery of the Second Degree near 700 block of D Avenue

Suspect forcefully took a wallet from the victim, as the suspect and victim were walking. The total loss was approximately $3,000 in US currency, one metal wallet valued at $10, and one California identification card belonging to the victim. Suspect then fled the area.

5/5/19: Battery on Spouse/Cohabitant – Misdemeanor near 1500 block of Attu Avenue

23 year old male

5/4/19: Robbery – Felony near 1700 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

17 year old female

5/4/19: Robbery – Felony near 1700 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

5/3/19: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1500 block of Tenth Street

15 year old female

5/3/19: Assault With a Deadly Weapon – Felony near 1200 block of First Street

29 year old female

5/3/19: Disorderly Conduct Due to Drugs With Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1200 block of First Street

32 year old male

5/1/19: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1000 block of Ocean Boulevard
