Coronado Recreation and Golf Services is offering a variety of after school activity classes this winter for children in grades one – five. Your child can learn how to cook in our Kids in the Kitchen Class on Mondays. They will increase their strength and tenacity at rock climbing in our Wall Crawlers Class on Fridays. They can mix up concoctions in the Slime Science class on Wednesdays. They can create art pieces, string jewelry and design decorations in the DIY Divas class on Fridays. For outside fun, they can try out a variety of outdoor adventure activities ranging from playing at playgrounds, exploring the ocean, visiting animals around the world and hiking on local trails in the Park and Playground Palooza on Tuesdays and Spring Into Adventure on Thursdays. All of these classes pick participants up at Village Elementary School directly after school ends. (Note that if your child attends another school, many of these classes have a non-transportation option too!)
Other enrichment classes offered at the Coronado Community Center for elementary school age children include Rock Climbing Class on Fridays at 4:45pm, Math-a-Magicians (3:30pm) and Volleyball (4:00pm) on Mondays, Cartoon Character Sketch on Wednesdays at 3:00pm, Tae Kwon Do on Mon and Wed at 5:30pm & 6:30pm, Jump Rope on Mondays at 6:00pm, Gymnastics on Tuesdays at 3:30 and 4:10pm, Hip Hop on Mondays at 4:15pm, Jazz Funk on Tuesdays at 5:00pm and Kinder Combo on Thursdays at 2:45pm.
At the Skatepark there are skate classes for 6-10 year olds on Thursdays and Fridays at 3:30pm. Right on the playground at Village Elementary School is the Village Stars Tennis Class from 2:20-3:20pm on Tuesdays (first –third graders).
