Coronado’s 4th Annual Beer by the Bay returns to the Ferry Landing

Proceeds Benefit Coronado SAFE and Coronado Surfing Association

Back by popular demand, Islander Ladies Club is hosting Coronado’s only local beer festival for another year of fun and fundraising at the Coronado Ferry Landing. This year’s Beer by the Bay is Saturday, March 9th from 3-6pm, with a special VIP hour from 2-3pm. The event, expanded from previous years, features unlimited beer tastings from more than 20 of Southern California’s best craft brewers and a selection of local home brewers; unlimited wine and champagne tastings from regional wineries; and even a spirits section with local distilleries! And to top things off there will be LIVE yacht rock music by High Tide Society! Plenty of tasty, local fare will be available for purchase, and you’ll find beer pong, a photo booth, raffle prizes, and plenty of fun by the bay!

The coveted VIP experience is back again, graciously sponsored by Donna Salof, with exclusive pours from Coronado Brewing Company, champagne tastes from Wilson Creek Winery, light snacks by Scratch Gourmet, a comfy, covered lounge area, and access to the event at 2PM. Most importantly, Beer by the Bay will benefit Coronado SAFE and Coronado Surfing Association, providing a scholarship for continuing education to a local high school senior in honor of Stan Searfus.

Beer by the Bay sells out each year, so don’t wait…get your tickets now! General admission tickets are $50, VIP tickets are $75 (but only a few remain!) Military members receive $10 off general admission. Designated Drivers receive free admission. Tickets and more information can be found at beerbythebay.com. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to attend (sorry, no children or babies) and must present a valid ID at the door. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed at Beer by the Bay. This is a rain or shine event – no refunds.

OUR BENEFICIARIES
Coronado SAFE
It is the mission of Coronado SAFE to partner with parents and the community to develop and sustain healthy and responsible youth and families. Their mission in action is to provide on-campus enrichment programs for students pre-k through high-school, offer weekly, monthly, and annual parent education workshops, and host donation-based counseling support services for students and families in need. The programs are designed to help youth develop strong social-emotional, resiliency, stress management, and communication skills which actively help to prevent anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicide. Their workshops engage parents and the community in an open dialogue to reduce the stigma of these complex issues and they firmly believe that solutions can be found by working together. For more information, visit coronadosafe.org.
Coronado Surfing Association
Coronado Surfing Association’s mission is to promote a passion for surfing and the ocean environment through community beach and ocean conservation events, as well as sponsoring competitive surfing at all levels. They believe surfing and respecting the ocean are special and fun experiences worth preserving. This year’s Beer by the Bay donation to this local group goes towards a scholarship to a high school senior for continuing education in honor of Stan Searfus.
