Chef Cyndi Burgunder Leads Spreckels Center Cooking Classes

Get Ready to Spice It Up! Starting Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 2:00-4:30 p.m., the City of Coronado’s John D. Spreckels Center and Bowling Green presents: Cooking with Cyndi! For more than 4,000 years, spices and herbs have been used to create healthy, satisfying meals. Cooking with herbs and spices enhances the flavor of food without adding fat, sugar, or salt; many have anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties. Chef Cyndi will share her secrets for harnessing the flavor of these important ingredients in her cooking class.

In Chef Cyndi Burgunder’s January workshop, participants will create some of Julia Child’s famous dishes like Eggplant-Walnut Dip, Spiced Lamb Meatballs with Yogurt Dressing, Wilted Spinach with Nutmeg and Raisins and Indian Pumpkin Pudding with Cinnamon Whipped Cream!

The Spreckels center will host Chef Cyndi’s workshop monthly. Register today for a spot in this course promoting healthy culinary options, ways to improve kitchen skills, reduce prep time, and more!  Each class is $59, for Coronado residents and $70, for non-residents.
