Rise & Shine Restaurant Group, with the addition of two other well-known partners, will be coming to Coronado in 2019:
Rise and Shine Restaurant Group will soon be revamping the food and beverage services at Coronado Golf Club. The three industry veterans who are at the helm (Johan Engman, John Rudolf, Tom Penn) have owned and operated recognizable restaurants and acclaimed eateries around San Diego such as such as Breakfast Republic, Fig Tree Café and La Jolla’s iconic Harry’s Diner. This newest venue, called Feast & Fareway, will be designed with the golfer and the community in mind. An upgraded snack bar and beverage carts, indoor/outdoor cocktail bars, a new kitchen, and a waterfront wedding ceremony venue with restaurant and event space for 200 people are all part of the plans that were submitted and accepted by the Coronado City Council.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Coronado Golf Club’s vision for excellence with this new project that will truly enhance the club,” says Johan Engman, owner of the local San Diego based Rise and Shine Restaurant Group.
The new group will take over existing operations on September 1st, 2018 with no initial significant changes to the dining area or menus, with actual construction expected to begin in January 2019. Crews will work hard to make the experience as “seamless as possible,” keeping the noise to a minimum as golfers and guests continue to enjoy the club.
Feast & Fareway’s opening is anticipated for April 2019. Feast & Fareway’s goal will be to continue a legacy that has been established since the course began operations in 1955, by providing an extraordinary new venue for golfers, neighbors and the Coronado community to enjoy for years to come.
