It’s a night to network not only with our neighbors down the Strand, but also with Assemblymember Todd Gloria! Gloria and staff will be joining the Coronado Chamber of Commerce for their first Sundowner of 2018 on Thursday, February 8th from 5 to 7p.m. at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort. This Sundowner is a joint mixer with the Imperial Beach Chamber of Commerce, making it a great way to make new contacts outside of Coronado. Registration is now open and tickets can be purchased on the Chamber website.
Assemblymember Gloria represents the 78th Assembly District, which encompasses much of San Diego, including Coronado and Imperial Beach. Prior to his election to the Assembly in 2016, Gloria served as the interim Mayor of San Diego after the resignation of former mayor Bob Filner in August 2013. In addition to serving as interim mayor, Gloria served as a San Diego City Councilmember representing District 3. Gloria is a third generation San Diegan, with all four of his grandparents having moved to San Diego because of their military involvement.
“We are thrilled to have Assemblymember Gloria joining us for our networking mixer,” Chamber Executive Director Sue Gillingham said. “We look forward to this event all year as it’s a unique networking opportunity that we are able to provide for our business community.”
Tickets for this event are $35 for Coronado Chamber members and $55 for non-members. A package of five tickets can also be purchased for just $160. Prices will go up at the door. Tickets include complimentary self-parking, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a drink ticket. Guests will also have the chance to purchase opportunity prize drawing tickets for a chance to win an array of locally-donated prizes. All proceeds from raffle sales go directly to the Chamber’s annual scholarship fund for a graduating senior at CHS who is going on to pursue a business degree.
