  • Glorietta Bay Beach Advisory: County health officials issued an advisory for the Glorietta Bay Park shoreline early Friday, November 3. Advisories are issued when bacterial levels exceed state health standards. The County Department of Environmental Health advises avoiding water contact during the advisory. A sanitary sewer spill occurred earlier this week on the nearby naval base. However, it is unknown whether that was the cause of the advisory. Sources also could include discharge from a water vessel or tidal action. The City will continue to monitor water quality in the area and all around Coronado’s waterways.
  • Portable Restroom Out of Service:  The Portable Restroom at South Beach, at the end of Avenida del Sol, is out of order and has been closed. Staff is working to identify the issue. As soon as the problem is identified, staff will estimate the time it will take to make repairs and provide the information to the public. Portable restroom units have been placed at the site. The City thanks the community for its patience.
