Blue Bridge Hospitality to Open All-New West Pac Noodle Bar in Coronado
Chef-Driven Noodle Bar Pays Tribute to Coronado’s Military History

In time for early autumn, Blue Bridge Hospitality (Maretalia, Liberty Public Market, Stake Chophouse & Bar, Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge) officially announces its latest endeavor, West Pac Noodle Bar. A casual Asian-fusion noodle shop located in the heart of Coronado at 1166 Orange Avenue, the concept is slated to make its debut in October of 2017.

Led by Blue Bridge Hospitality Executive Chef Tim Kolanko and Executive Sous Chef Jared Becker, West Pac’s culinary program will spotlight Asian-inspired small plates to include a variety of noodles, dumplings, poke and other dim sum.  The restaurant’s proximity to Coronado’s Navy base and other San Diego military installations serves as inspiration for the noodle bar concept, highlighting Asian-influenced decor complemented by cuisine that draws influence from the entire Western Pacific region. Blue Bridge Hospitality has currently closed the space for renovation with plans to re-open the project as West Pac Noodle Bar in October.

The Concept | “Goin’ on a West Pac Tour”

A former phrase commonly utilized by the Navy preparing for deployment from San Diego, a “West Pac Tour” refers to the Western Pacific waters from Japan to Singapore, Thailand to Hawaii, and everything in between. West Pac Noodle Bar represents a tribute to San Diego’s relationship with the Navy and the diverse melting pot of cultures.

Revolving around a communal bar outfitted with 24 local craft beers on tap, this 1,600 square-foot concept will draw interior design inspiration from the area’s neighboring military base with Pacific Asian-style decor. The full-service casual eatery will offer seating available both indoors and on the re-vamped patio.

“Having been raised in Coronado, I’ve personally seen how the U.S. Navy has been a tremendous influence on San Diego. The Western Pacific Fleet operations and activities have built the cultural diversity of our residents. I wanted a place where we could explore all these worldly flavors without boundaries.” – David Spatafore, Principal, Blue Bridge Hospitality

New eatery is set to open in October 2017.

The Cuisine | Family-Style Noodle Bar

West Pac Noodle Bar is where Kolanko applies his chef’s hand to create a selection of affordable, quick-order noodles utilizing ancient preparations perfected across Asia. Designed with smaller portions in mind, the menu will encourage guests to sample a variety of items—creating an eclectic, family-style meal offering fresh noodles, dumplings, poke bowls and assorted dim sum among other dishes. All broths and sauces will be made in-house and served alongside various authentic noodles, farm-fresh vegetables, and protein-options from both land and sea.

About Blue Bridge Hospitality: Blue Bridge Hospitality is a diverse group of exceptional restaurants based in and born out of a love for the city of Coronado. With a portfolio of eight distinct concepts (MooTime Creamery, Village Pizzeria, Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q, Coronado Coffee Company, Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge, Stake Chophouse & Bar, Liberty Public Market, Maretalia Ristorante), Blue Bridge Hospitality has experienced immense growth since its beginnings in 1998. The collective’s first concept, MooTime Creamery, was a family effort from the ground up, with native San Diego resident David Spatafore taking the lead. As Blue Bridge has flourished, expanded, and entered into new partnerships in the 18 years since its inception, the group has reached tremendous heights with the opening of San Diego’s most buzzed about project to date, Liberty Public Market, the city’s first food hall. Carrying that same focus on local ownership and family values has remained a core component of the company’s principles as Blue Bridge Hospitality continues to grow.
