Cops and Robbers: Counterfeit Money and Vehicle Break-ins (7/17/17-7/25/17)

Thanks to the City of Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

Crimes

7/25/17: Forgery near 800 block of Orange Avenue
Witness reported the crime after she discovered she had exchanged legitimate currency for a counterfeit $100 bill.

7/24/17-7/25/17: Petty Theft near 900 block of F Avenue
Victim reported that an unknown subject entered his vehicle, which was parked behind his residence near the garage and took approximately $400 and a debit card from his wallet, which was located in the glove box.

7/24/17: Grand Theft by Employee near 1100 block of Orange Avenue
Unknown suspect took money from the locked safe box of the location three separate times in the span of over five months. The total loss is estimated over $1000.

7/23/17: Petty Theft near 1300 block of Orange Avenue
Unknown suspect stole an unlocked bicycle from the location. The loss is estimated at $180.

7/22/17-7/23/17: Petty Theft near 1000 block of E Avenue
Unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole property valued at approximately $200.

7/22/17-7/23/17: Petty Theft near 900 block of E Avenue
Unknown suspect entered victim’s unlocked vehicle and took her vehicle’s California registration card and USAA vehicle insurance card.

7/18/17-7/21/17: Petty Theft near 1500 block of 1st Street
Unknown subjects removed a locked bicycle from the bike rack of the location. The bicycle is valued at $155.

7/17/17-7/18/17: Burglary of the Second Degree near 1300 block of 5th Street
Unknown suspects entered victim’s locked vehicle and ransacked the center console, glove compartment, and took property from inside the trunk.

7/25/17: Battery Against Emergency Peace Officer – Felony near 1500 block of Orange Avenue

7/23/17: Minor Violation of Curfew – Infraction near 600 block of D Avenue
17 year old male

7/23/17: Possession Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor near 2000 block Mullinix Drive
35 year old male

7/22/17: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1100 Orange Avenue
39 year old male

7/21/17: Contempt of Court near 1000 block of Isabella Avenue
42 year old male
