Kids in the Kitchen is one of the many popular courses returning this year for CSF’s Summer Enrichment Program, July 10th to July 28th.
Now it its sixth year, Coronado Schools Foundation looks forward to your child joining the fun and hands-on STEAM-inspired classes, July 10th to July 28th. The program offers three one-week sessions (July 10th to 14th, July 17th to 21st, and July 24th to July 28th) with classes for children entering grades K-12. This year, afternoon class sessions will also be offered with classes held from 8:30 to 11:30am and 12:00 to 3:00pm at Coronado High School. Most are taught by credentialed Coronado Unified teachers with Steve Reiss, a local expert, teaching SAT and ACT classes.
“Our program is unique in that it incorporates academic principles within fun and creative classes that bring children back year after year,” noted Kathy Shady, Summer Enrichment Principal, a Village Elementary teacher with her administrative credential. “New this year is an Engineering Class for 4th to 6th graders using Hess trucks and exploring engineering principles, as well as a Sports Sampler for those entering 6th to 8th grade and a fun Math Boot Camp for those entering 1st to 3rd grade.”
