NOISE AND TRAINING ALERT: Blank Weapons Firing and Flares

The Navy is conducting training exercises on Thursday, October 27, 2016, from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM near the ocean side beaches across from Fiddler’s Cove Marina & RV Park. Individuals in the vicinity may hear weapons firing (blank munitions) and see white, green, red, purple flares and smoke during these training exercises.

SPECIAL ACTIVITY ALERT: Naval Outlying Field Imperial Beach Aircraft Flyby

On Thursday, Octobert 27, 2016, Naval Base Coronado (NBC) Naval Outlying Field Imperial Beach (NOLF IB) will conduct a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight check of the NOLF IB Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) system. The FAA will use a Lear Jet 60 for the flight check. Residents within the City of Imperial Beach can anticipate seeing a small twin engine jet aircraft conducting flight operations in the vicinity of NOLF IB from approximately 08:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Oct 27, 2016. The aircraft will not be landing at the airfield.
