  • As part of Public Services’ annual palm pruning program, a City contractor will be pruning palms throughout Coronado. Palm fruiting and hanging fronds are a common concern of residents. Crews began work in the Cays and is now on the east side of Orange Avenue. From there, they will start working on the west side Orange and finish by mid-December. The work will be on a street-by-street basis so no trees are missed. “No Parking” signs can also appear on short notice when the contractor has been able to get ahead of schedule. The City asks for cooperation as soon as the signs are set up. Two crews from West Coast Arborist in white and yellow trucks will be working in parkways and parks.
