Emerald Keepers is a proud sponsor of San Diego Climate Week’s Water Summit, the kickoff to the second annual weeklong event that will run through Oct. 8.
The Water Summit, which is free and open to the public, will be held at Coronado Community Center’s Nautilus Room and will bring together experts, advocates, and residents to address the Tijuana River sewage crisis, ocean resilience, and regional water security.

SCHEDULE
- Paddle Out, 4 p.m. The Water Summit and Climate Week begin with a ceremonial Paddle Out on Glorietta Bay. BYOB: Bring Your Own Board! Anyone with a board or kayak is encouraged to participate.
- Make Waves Fair, 5 p.m. Meet San Diego nonprofits working in public health, binational advocacy, and coastal preservation. Enjoy light bites and beverages while learning about local initiatives and how you can get involved.
- Tri-National Expert Panel & Breakout Sessions, 6 p.m. Leaders representing the United States, Mexico, and Tribal nations will discuss the current state of the Tijuana River sewage crisis and pathways toward lasting solutions. Attendees will then have an opportunity to join small working groups focused on practical solutions and meaningful actions.
San Diego Climate Week will feature more than 100 events throughout San Diego County focused on building a more climate-resilient and inclusive region. As part of Climate Week, Emerald Keepers will host a community cleanup at 8 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 3 at Tidelands Park.
