Share Your Christmas Dinner with a Member of the Navy Stationed in Coronado!

Did you know that there are many military personnel who have to spend Christmas away from home, many for the first time? What better way to say “thank you” for their service than to invite them for Christmas dinner with your family?

This Christmas families in Coronado will have a chance to create an event that will be remembered and cherished by all.

“We started this tradition last year when we invited two servicemen from the Navy to enjoy Christmas Eve dinner with our family,” said Margaret La Grange, long-time resident of Coronado. “I wanted my two granddaughters to get in the spirit of giving, and see what it meant to share something special with others.”

The dinner was such a success that the family decided to make it an annual Christmas tradition.

“I realized that there are many other families on the island who would be interested in hosting, so I’m spreading the word,” said La Grange. “It would be wonderful to get as many military service people included in holiday meals as possible.”

Start a new holiday tradition this year. It’s easy to invite military personnel stationed in Coronado to attend your holiday dinner. Simply contact Master Chief Mike Magnetta at 619-545-9607 or email him at [email protected].
