On Being an Orthodontist
With a passion for developing strong, personal relationships with each of her patients, while developing beautiful smiles for them, Dr. Diane J. Milberg is a highly regarded orthodontist.
Beginning with a patient’s first visit to her practice, Dr. Milberg strives to establish open lines of communication, forming a bond with the person. She knows the strongest treatment results, and the most rewarding orthodontic experience, happens with patients who are engaged with all aspects of their care. So she constantly works to keep each person excited about developing their new smile.
Dr. Milberg loves working with patients of all ages. Whether she’s watching children grow and mature into confident young adults, or helping an adult gain the smile they’ve dreamed about for years, she finds personal reward in helping others. She also greatly enjoys the friendships that develop with her patients, which often extend beyond the office. In fact, she frequently attends patients’ recitals and games!

Each year Dr. Milberg pursues continuing education offerings, through meetings, seminars, and online courses. She is a long-standing and active member of the Edward Angle Society, which promotes education standards for the training of orthodontists. She’s also a frequent speaker at these seminars.
By seeking out continuing education, Dr. Milberg stays current on the latest training and practice standards. This ensures her patients receive the best orthodontic treatment possible, and have an enjoyable treatment journey.

Outside the Practice
A Los Angeles native, San Diego is now Dr. Milberg’s home. She is married, with two adult children: a son and a daughter. Her daughter will be joining the practice in the spring of 2016. Dr. Milberg’s family also includes Buddy Jack, a Beagle, and Marly, a Pug mix. When she’s not caring for her patients, you’ll often find Dr. Milberg enjoying time in her garden or creating great meals in her kitchen. An avid pianist, she also spends many hours at her piano and loves learning about music theory.
