Man Who Died After Jumping Off Yacht In SD Bay Identified

CORONADO, Calif. — The San Diego Harbor Police Department is investigating the apparent drowning of a 23-year-old Oakland man in San Diego Bay.

Alexander Thomas Glenn was pronounced dead about 7:20 p.m. Saturday after being pulled out of the water by a diver, according to San Diego Harbor Police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Glenn was with a group of friends jumping into the water from the Champagne party boat on Saturday. Friends notified authorities after he did not resurface, and divers recovered his body about 40 minutes later near the Coronado end of the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge, but were not able to revive him.
