Coronado 4th of July Parade Wins Award

The San Diego Family Magazine has announced its readers’ poll results and the Coronado 4th of July parade was voted the top parade in the “Best Local Parade” category. Laura Szymanski, the treasurer of the 4th of July Committee, accepted the honor on Wednesday, June 22 on behalf of the entire Parade Committee. Also receiving nominations in this category were the Big Balloon Parade and the Mother Goose Parade in El Cajon.

Andy Szymanski, President of the Committee, leads the Parade Committee. “We are delighted and honored to receive this award,” Szymanski stated. “It is pleasure to be recognized for family oriented entertainment that provides a means to celebrate America’s birthday.”

This year’s parade begins at 1st and Orange Avenue at 10 AM on Monday, July 4th. The day also includes entertainment in Speckels Park and ends with the fireworks display over the bay at 9 PM. For all the details, click here.
