Coronado‘s Len Kaine in contention for CNN’s 2011 Hero Award.
Kaine, who is president of the Golden Rule Society (GRS) charity, has expanded their outreach during these difficult economic times by offering every American a free discount card for prescriptions.
The card provides 10 to 75 % savings at over 54,000 pharmacies nationwide.
Kaine was also selected by the American Hero Card company to be the driving force in providing free Internet listings to every American business owner. It benefits the economy and our Troops.
For his efforts, the US Department of Veterans Affairs named Kaine the 2010 Veteran of the Year for the Golden Rule Society.
It’s dynamic and challenging work, especially after Kaine’s brain aneurism and the surgery that followed. Three physicians said it’s a miracle he’s alive.
“We offer help to all Americans with special affinity for our Troops, Veterans, and all who Protect and Serve” said Kaine.
The GRS free fundraising program is being offered to all legitimate non-profit organizations.
“We are proud of the fact that that since the formation of the Golden Rule Society in 1972, the GRS founders and advisors, are all non-paid volunteers. This means 100% of the net funds raised support the charitable causes and objectives of GRS” added Kaine.
