CORONADO ADULT EDUCATION OFFERS VARIETY OF CLASSES STARTING JANUARY 24, 2011

Adult Education’s Spring 2011 class schedule begins January 24. We have a variety of exciting classes along with some new instructors this semester, and are pleased to offer the following new classes:


Beginning Women’s Self-Defense taught by Becky Black, Coronado’s History 101 taught at Coronado Historical Society by Susan Enowitz, Chip Carving – Rustic to Elegant taught by Vard Porter and Better the Lives of Others through Coaching with Jeffrey T. Sooey.


Storytelling through Folk Art taught by Cynda Fuentes, Creativity Workshop in Art taught by Lee Puffer – Lee is also teaching a Ceramics class, Retirement Planning Today taught by Joe Anderson, Body Sculpting taught by Renee Cavanaugh, Inventions 101 taught by Eric Hanscom, Italian 101 taught by Paulo Wakham, Clear Your Clutter Step by Step taught by Wenndi Freer, Feng Shui for the New Year taught by Kathryn Holt, Meditation & Relaxation Techniques taught by Draza Jansky – Draza is also teaching Low Gravity Yoga, Woodworking with Elton Lawson, French Conversation with Renaud Subra, Spanish with Lorena Baca. Also, Event & Wedding Planning taught by Joan Whalen, Everyday Yoga taught by Cynthia Mendolia, Zumba Fitness taught by Laura Webb, Ballet taught by Gina Sorensen, Nia Dance Fitness taught by Audrey Dill, Mat Pilates/Combo and Rhythm Tap/Tap Dance taught by Marena Bronson, Line Dance with Diane Rojas, Introduction to Lawn Bowling taught by Bill Hiscock at Coronado Lawn Bowling Club, Culinary for the Home Chef with Leiz Bertram, and Tennis with Allen Levin.


In addition, we are offering the following social dance classes taught by David Vasquez:

American Tango, American Rumba, East Coast Swing, Waltz, Salsa I and Salsa II.


Computer classes offered are:


Computer/Internet Basic and Advanced, Computer Skills for Office Assistants Essential and Advanced with Mark Rodgers, Excel I and Excel II, and Digital Photography from A-Z with Will Cattell. Photoshop and MAC Basics with new instructor Rick Gassman.


We also offer Independent Study, ESL, and a 40+ Basketball League, and Senior Aerobics.

For walk-in registration, hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-7:00pm, and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm (closed daily from 11:30am-12:30pm) at the Service Center located at 650 D Avenue.
