CHS Football: Santa Fe uses rare balance to oust Coronado

LA COSTA — Jarrod Watson-Lewis ran for three touchdowns and the Santa Fe Christian School football team unleashed a rare outburst in the passing game to pull away from Coronado for a 63-35 victory Friday night in the CIF San Diego Section Division IV quarterfinals at La Costa Canyon High.

The Eagles (7-4) moved the ball almost at will, averaging more than nine yards per carry in racking up 297 of their 354 rushing yards in the first half. And quarterback Connor Moore threw four touchdown passes, one more than he had in Santa Fe Christian’s first 10 games combined.
