Coronado, California – August 27, 2010- If there is one thing that no small business owner has in excess, it’s time. That’s what Coronado High graduate Jacques Spitzer understood when he launched his advertising business, Jacques Productions, in February.
Spitzer attended high school in Coronado where he graduated in 2004. After graduation he attended UCSD and worked at NBC San Diego for two years. His advertising business bloomed out of work he was doing for personal trainer Ray Wetterlund III based in La Jolla (see video below). “We started to notice that weekly videos promoting Wetterlund’s brand increased monthly traffic to his website by over 500 percent,” Spitzer said. “People started to take notice of the rapid growth of the RW3 Fitness brand and wanted to know who was behind it.”
Since February, Spitzer has become the main advertiser for over a dozen local clients based all over San Diego, including The Better Bookstore, which was launched by fellow Coronado graduate JT Rogan. Spitzer said because small business owners have very little extra time, he decided his business would focus on becoming a one-stop-shop for small businesses, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines. “Business owners, especially successful ones, do not have time to find someone to revamp their website, create new business cards and flyers, make promotional videos, write press releases and have their website optimized for search engines,” Spitzer said. “It takes an extraordinary amount of time to find different businesses who provide all of those services and then getting them to hit a deadline can be like pulling nails, that’s how I have been able to work 100 percent off referrals.”
