Let’s Get Our City Council “ON BOARD” …

If you haven’t heard already, in July, the Coronado City Council voted 4-1 (Councilwoman Barbara Denny dissenting) to direct city staff to study the voluntary removal of 6 bus stops on Orange Avenue at 5th, 7th and 9th Streets.

Year-after-Year, Coronado bus service continues to get cut. There are many of us depend on public transportation on a daily basis like seniors, disabled persons, the visually impaired, workers and more.

I have dedicated myself the past month to speaking-out and educating Coronado about this issue. I have received enormous support. Blog comments and letters consistently show support to keep all bus stops, to bring back 904 Sunday bus service and to promote public transportation to alleviate traffic congestion and emissions.

After watching yesterday’s council meeting, I am encouraged to see some members may be hearing their constituents.

CONTINUE supporting public transportation in Coronado! We need to hear from residents, visitors and commuters!

EMAIL OR WRITE TODAY. Councilwoman Barbara Denny is our only advocate on the city council.
