SAN DIEGO (AP) – Navy officials have identified the crew members who were aboard an HH-60 Seahawk helicopter that crashed Tuesday night off San Diego. Officials say they were Lt. Cmdr. Eric Purvis of Poway, Lt. Allison Oubre of Slidell, La., Crewman 1st Class Samuel Kerslake of Hot Springs, Ark., Crewman 2nd Class Aaron Clingman of Bend, Ore., and Crewman 3rd Class Sean Ward of Lovelock, Nev. Three bodies have been recovered. The Coast Guard suspended its search for the two missing crew members. A petty officer says it’s unlikely the two could have survived more than 36 hours in the ocean after the crash. Navy search and salvage specialists will continue searching for the wreckage.
