Movies on the Bay: “Incredibles 2” Friday, July 26

On Friday, July 26 you can join the Parr family on their super hero adventure when Disney Pixar’s film Incredibles 2 is presented on the Big Screen in Tidelands Park.

This computer animated super hero film features the voices of Craig T. Nelson as the super strong yet vulnerable Mr. Incredible; Holly Hunter as Mrs. Incredible aka Elastigirl; Sarah Vowell as Violet with her impenetrable force field; Huckleberry Milner as speedster Dash; Eli Rucile as baby Jack Jack with his ever evolving super powers and Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone who freezes things as he goes along with guest “appearances” by Usher, Barry Bostwick, John Ratzenberger, Isabella Rosselini, Sophia Bush, Catherine Keener and Bob Odenkirk.

In this sequel to the 2004 film, Incredibles 2 puts Mrs. Incredible in the spotlight while her husband stays home to manage the children and household. As baby Jack-Jack’s new, exciting superpowers emerge, a new villain appears with a brilliant yet dangerous plot that the Incredibles and Frozone must work together to squelch.

Described by critics as “the reunion of Pixar’s family crime fighting team in the long-awaited follow up.” Polled audiences have given this film the highest grade of “A+” for its flash and pizzazz with a big heart in the center of it all. Nominated for the 2019 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and winner of the 2019 Kids Choice Favorite Animated Movie Award, Incredibles 2 brought in 1.2 billion at the box office, making it the second highest grossing animated film of all time!

Families are invited to come to Tidelands Park (2000 Mullinex Drive, Coronado) at 6:30pm on Friday, July 26, to participate in the FREE pre–screen activities including crafts, games and contests.  \The Incredibles 2 movie on the big screen will start at approximately 8:00pm.
