City of Coronado COVID-19 Update April 16, 2020

Public Comments — COVID-19 Emergency

The City is resuming commission meetings and continuing with City Council meetings.

Most are being held virtually. However, in the interest of reducing the spread of the coronavirus, no in-person public participation is allowed until further notice. The City encourages members of the public to comment in advance of meetings.

The next City Council meeting is set for April 21. Members of the public may submit written comments on City council agenda items online with this form.

There is a second form for board, commission and committee meetings. Both are available online.

All written comments will be posted on the City’s website in lieu of being read aloud at the meeting. City Council and some board, commission and committee meetings are broadcast live on Spectrum Channel 19 and AT&T Channel 99 on the day of the meeting and rebroadcast throughout the next few weeks. The meetings can also be streamed live on the City’s website.

Signs, a COVID-19 Photo Essay

There are many reasons why signs are needed. They can protect property, prevent injury and inform the public. Signs are everywhere, from street signs to stop signs to billboards.

Due to closures during the coronavirus pandemic, there have been even more signs adding to Coronado’s landscape. Although posted signs are necessary to convey important messages, we can all hope that they are not needed for long.
