The Coronado Promenade Concerts Board of Directors today unveiled a 16-concert schedule for 2019. With musical acts ranging from classic rock to Latin jazz to soul and country, the series will deliver a variety of styles, all designed to fit the comfortable and exquisite setting of Spreckels Park. This year’s summer concert series runs from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend with concerts every Sunday. New this year – the first concert on May 26th will feature the Coronado Concert Band starting at 4:30pm followed immediately by Crown Town with Matt Heinecke at 6:15pm.
“We’re exceptionally proud of this year’s schedule. There are nine new bands, four local bands, Navy Band Southwest and a couple of fan favorites,” said Board President Cathy Brown. “Once again we have great dance bands and a couple of fantastic tribute bands.”
The music is made possible by the generosity of sponsors, donors and advertisers to the Coronado Promenade Concerts organization and by the City of Coronado, which furnishes and maintains the wonderful Spreckels Park venue.
