The Coronado Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Celebrate Coronado on Wednesday, July 18th from 5-8pm in the Nautilus Room at the Coronado Community Center. This event is a community-wide celebration as the Chamber honors the city and the local heroes who protect it: Coronado’s firefighters, police officers, lifeguards and city employees.
“Celebrate Coronado is our chance to publicly thank the local firefighters, lifeguards, police officers and city employees who work tirelessly for the community,” Executive Director Sue Gillingham said. “It’s such a great event, and we hope the community will help us recognize these heroes.”
This event serves as the Chamber’s Annual Community Awards, including the local Police Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Lifeguard of the Year, City Employee of the Year and Naval Base Coronado Firefighter of the Year. The Chamber will also present their selected Volunteer of the Year and Lewis R. Hardy, Jr. Award for service to the community in addition to inducting their 2018-2019 Board of Directors.
The entire Coronado community is invited to attend this celebratory evening! Tickets are on sale now for only $65. Tickets include live music entertainment, a mouthwatering local restaurant showcase dinner and a drink. There will be a cash bar as well as special prizes and experiences from a variety of local businesses up for grabs. You can also sponsor a local hero to attend for just $50.
