The Islander Sports Foundation has supported Coronado athletics since 1994.
This year we begin a special Iron & Steel campaign to benefit high school sports.
The Coronado High School (CHS) weight room needs top-to-bottom renovation. Current equipment & flooring is over twenty years old, and most equipment has limited function or is in disrepair. More than 250 students use the weight room weekly for PE & for many different sports. Our hope is to modernize the weight room and, more importantly, to make it safe and functional.
The ISF Iron & Steel campaign seeks to raise $50,000 to renovate the CHS weight room. This will enable CHS to create a training space to serve ALL athletes and physical education students. This will improve results on the playing field and create team bonding opportunities. Capital improvement will occur in phases as funds are raised. All contributions are tax deductible and those contributing at the given levels will be recognized in the weight room. Contributions in any amount are appreciated.
