Registration for Silver Strand State Preschool for Fall 2018 through 2019 has begun. Coronado Unified School District (CUSD) is pleased to offer a State Preschool Program at Silver Strand Elementary School. Silver Strand State Preschool fulfills the original vision for CUSD to provide a complete education continuum as a lifelong foundation for our community’s children. The program’s curricula that follows the California Preschool Learning Foundations is designed to enhance cognitive development and establish the basic building blocks for a successful education for 21st century learners. The preschool services up to 24 students and eligibility is based on family size and family income. The half-day program is available to families who are at or under the income ceilings established by the California State Department of Education.
The preschool is located at 1350 Leyte Road in Coronado. Applications are available in the school office from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. daily and should be turned in with all required documents as soon as possible. Incomplete packets will not be accepted. Following class placement, or when the class is full, registration will remain open with applicants being placed on a waiting list and called when space becomes available.
