Cops and Robbers: Loans Taken Out Under False ID Result in $5,900 Loss (3/2/18 – 3/7/18)

Crimes:

3/7/18: Report of Domestic Violence near 700 block of Fifth Street

Subject got into a verbal argument with her husband. After the argument, the subject’s husband volunteered to leave the apartment. Neither party had any visible injuries or made any claims of physical violence.

3/4/18: Petty Theft near 900 block of Orange Avenue

Victim reported a silver Trek speed bicycle stolen by unknown suspect.

3/2/18: Use of Another’s Personal Identification near 3200 block of Attu Road

Unknown suspect used the victim’s Navy Federal account information to open a personal loan for $3,100. Sambla provided a loan in the amount of 500,000 SEK to the suspect’s personal account. The suspect also convinced the victim to send $2,800 to them. The total loss was $5,900. The victim is in the process of recovering her money through Navy Federal.

3/2/18: Burglary in the Second Degree near 1200 block of First Street

Unknown suspect gained entry to a locked vehicle, by unknown means, and stole a purse that was under the front passenger’s seat. The purse contained approximately $150 in cash, a credit card, social security card, and miscellaneous medical paperwork.

3/7/18: Outside Warrant on Felony Charge – Felony near 700 block of Carolina Street
24 year old male

3/4/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1000 block of First Street
20 year old male

3/4/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 1200 block of First Street
26 year old male

3/2/18: Burglary in the Second Degree – Felony near 1000 block of Seventh Street
46 year old male

3/2/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Causing Bodily Injury – Felony near 300 block of E Avenue
17 year old female

3/2/18: Burglary in the Second Degree – Felony near 1000 block of Seventh Street
45 year old female

3/2/18: Battery on a Spouse or Cohabitant – Misdemeanor near 600 block of I Avenue
35 year old male

3/2/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Drugs – Misdemeanor near 700 block of F Avenue
