Cops and Robbers: Two Incidents at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort (2/12/18-2/20/18)

Thanks to the City of Coronado Police Department for providing The Coronado Times with the below information (partial list):

Crimes:

2/20/18: False Impersonation near 400 block J Avenue

Unknown suspect attempted to open lines of credit under the victim’s name. Victim does not know and did not give anyone permission to open credit under her name.

2/18/18: Defrauding an Innkeeper near 4000 block of Coronado Bay Road

Suspect was checked into Loews Coronado Bay Resort, during which he accumulated a room service charge of $1,769.91.

2/18/18: Domestic Violence near 4000 block of Coronado Bay Road

Security at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort called to report a possible domestic violence incident in one of the hotel rooms.

2/17/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 1500 block of Glorietta Boulevard

Unknown suspect smashed the victim’s car window using an unknown tool. The suspect then reached inside the vehicle and grabbed the victim’s tote bag filled with miscellaneous food items. The total loss taken was approximately $10, while the cost to repair the damage to the vehicle was estimated to be approximately $500.

2/15/18-2/16/18: Grand Theft near 1300 block of Fifth Street

Unknown suspect removed a locked bicycle from the open garage at the location, by cutting the cable, locking it in place, and fleeing in an unknown direction. The bicycle is valued at over $5,000.

2/16/18: Grand Theft Property near 1400 block of Second Street

Victim’s locked bicycle was stolen from the first-floor balcony of her apartment. The unknown suspect cut the metal railing to the balcony to defeat the lock. The bicycle is valued at approximately $2,200.

2/15/18: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 400 block of First Street

Black and white paint graffiti was found on and near the manhole in Bay View Park. The paint was dry, and it remains unknown how long the graffiti had been there.

2/13/18-2/14/18: Petty Theft near 100 block of D Avenue

A power washer and garden hose were taken from behind the residence at the location. Victim is unable to identify any possible suspects. All stolen property was valued by the victim at approximately $525.

2/12/18: Petty Theft near 2000 block of Mullinix Drive

Unknown suspect took victim’s unlocked paddle boards and paddle from the beach located at Tidelands Park and fled in an unknown direction. The total loss was approximately $375.

2/19/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 500 block of C Avenue
32 year old female

2/17/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 900 block of Orange Avenue
31 year old male
