CHS Girls’ Basketball Defeats Monte Vista High School, 54-24

After a tough loss to Francis Parker, 30-60, on Tuesday, the CHS girls’ varsity basketball team stepped it up for Thursday’s match against Monte Vista High School. By the end of the first half, Coronado led Monte Vista 23-14, outscoring them 16-6 in the second quarter. Coronado then went for a stretch in the third quarter, outscoring them 20-3. Sophia Quast led the team in points, shooting a total of 15 points. Lauren White, Kathryn Monk, and Sarah Barns were also some top shooters, leading the team to a 54-24 victory.
