The U.S. News & World Report reviewed 28,496 U.S. public high schools for their 2017 Best High Schools rankings. Awards were given to the top 6,041 public high schools with gold, silver and bronze medals, indicating their level of college readiness. Coronado High is ranked #396 in the National Rankings and earned a gold medal. Out of 2399 California public high schools, 655 made the rankings and Coronado High ranked 69th within the California rankings.
