More Than 85 Local and National Employers to Join SD Military Community Transition Summit (April 20-21)

Two-Day Event Connects Government, Business, & Community Leaders with Transitioning Service Members, Veterans, & Military Spouses

SAN DIEGO, CA — More than 85 employers are registered to connect with hundreds of service members, veterans, and military spouses at the San Diego Military Community Transition Summit. This two-day event – sponsored by CarMax and Microsoft – is a collaborative effort to connect members of the military community to meaningful employment opportunities before they transition out of the armed forces. Senior leaders from the private and public sectors will also attend the summit to learn and share best practices in hiring veterans and military spouses.

This summit features participation by and speakers from Naval Base San Diego, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans’ Employment and Training Services, Soldier for Life, the U.S. Department of Defense’s Transition to Veterans Program Office, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes, and local chambers of commerce.
