Movie Review: “Entourage” Now Playing at the Coronado Village Theatre

The boys are back and better than ever in their first full length feature film! Entourage started as an HBO tv show lasting eight seasons and concluding in 2011. Nearly four years later, fans have another chance to follow this cast of characters in their crazy Hollywood lifestyle.

Adrian Grenier stars as Vincent Chase, a movie star who has climbed his way to the top but kept his closest friends around as his “entourage”. The group consists of Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), Vince’s long time friend and driver turned Tequila entrepreneur, E (Kevin Connolly), Vince’s best friend turned manager, and Johnny “Drama” (Kevin Dillon), Vince’s older brother who also has tried his hand at acting but hasn’t been overly successful.

This film follows the ups and downs of Vince wanting to not only star in but direct a major film, E balancing having a baby on the way with ex Sloan and dating other women, Turtle finding himself trying to woo a knockout woman, and Drama… still trying to make it big.

Long time fans will love to see many familiar faces return such as Ari Golding (Jeremy Piven), Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Lloyd (Rex Lee), Shauna (Debi Mazar), Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro), and Dana Gordon (Constance Zimmer). Coronado local, Billy Ballard called the film a “great continuation of the show.”

For movie goers just tuning in, don’t feel like you will be left out if you haven’t seen the show before. It is easy to understand the dynamics of the group, just be prepared for a wild ride of debauchery and unwavering friendship!
