A Hollywood producer who grew up in Coronado, Lisa Bruce is eloquent on the subject of her latest film, “The Theory of Everything.”
Based on past experience, though, if “Everything” wins the Best Picture Oscar on Sunday, she may be tongue-tied.
“You feel a total rush of adrenaline,” she said of a critical moment at this month’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts ceremonies, when her biopic about physicist Stephen Hawking took “Outstanding British Film” honors. “Then you hope you don’t trip on your gown or don’t say anything dumb.”
