Coronado teens invited to apply to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference

The Rotary Club of Coronado is inviting all high school juniors to apply for the 2015 RYLA Conference to be held at Idyllwild Pines in beautiful Idyllwild, CA. The conference will take place April 17-19, 2015.

One of the goals of Rotary is to help young people develop their leadership abilities and self-confidence to the fullest. To that end the RYLA program was developed by Rotary International to encourage strong leadership in youth. Young people chosen for their leadership potential attend an all-expense-paid camp to develop and enhance leadership skills and personal development through activities conducted in an atmosphere of trust and respect. RYLA provides a memorable opportunity to learn, grow and have fun, while making new friends along the way. Those who attend a RYLA program are generally better able to successfully manage their own lives, careers and make a mark on society.

If you are interested in exploring this opportunity please go to the RYLA website at www.rylaconference.com and click on the “Students” link for additional information. Please note applications are due by Friday, February 13. If you should have any questions, please contact Ivan Dunn at 619-519-5662 or Robert Taylor at 203-226-6202.
