CHA’s next Wine & Lecture – THIS Friday, December 12

‘HOW THE 1915 WORLD’S FAIR CAME TO BE’

(with some surprising Coronado connections!)

Get ready for the 2015 Centennial celebration in Balboa Park with noted historian, author and architect David Marshall, President of Heritage Architecture & Planning, who will share stories from the 1915 Panama-California Exposition and gorgeous images from his extensive personal collection. Learn details you’ve never heard before about the event that changed San Diego history forever.

David has personally been involved in the renovation and reconstruction of many of Balboa Park’s prized exposition buildings. He will talk about the planning and monumental effort that went into making the Panama-California Exposition a reality, including a surprising Coronado connection or two!

Marshall’s book, San Diego’s Balboa Park, will be available for sale and signing.

As always, the lecture is FREE; wine will be available for $5 per glass. No RSVP required, but seating is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Program begins at 5:30 p.m., in the Lecture Hall at the Coronado Museum, 1100 Orange Avenue. For more info call 435-7242.
