Bungalow 56 is an interior design and event planning business. It was started by two women, Jessica Nicolls and Karyn Frazier, who dreamed of owning a business together for many years. After working out of Jessica’s home, they were finally ready to establish themselves in a commercial space located at 1022 C Avenue.
Jessica attended school at the Art Institute of San Diego and fell in love with the city immediately. When she married her husband Kraig (a native Coronadan), Jessica convinced her friend Karyn to move to Coronado and begin the business.
Bungalow 56 works closely with Nicolls Design Build on new houses and remodels, from beginning to end, with furniture packages. Their designs make the best use of all space with a customized style.
The main goal of their work is to create a lifestyle. They specialize in color selection, giving life to old furniture, and creating a functional and comfortable home or business. They take your likes, dislikes, and personality and mesh them all together to design your space so that the end result will be timeless.
Along with interior design they also work as event designers. They plan weddings and parties for all occasions.
Jessica and Karyn’s goal for the future is to have their own furniture and accessory line. The store is open to the public so anyone can come in and purchase single items for their home or business.
