Cool Off from the Summer Heat & See X-Men: Now Playing at Village Theatre

X-Men: Days of Future Past brings together the ensemble for a war between the mutants and the homosapiens. The film is placed in two time periods, with the fight for survival in the present being tied nearly fifty years in the past. Characters from the original X-Men are put together to change the outcome of historical events, and simultaneously alter the present reality. The film is a good mix of action and emotion, bringing a new sense of humanity to the mutants. Their fight proves that X-Men can be beneficial to society just as much as, if not more than, the humans. The twists and ties between future and past provides for a gripping storyline that captures the attention of moviegoers for its two-hour duration. Professor X (Charles Xavier) tells the mutants, “The past: a place of potential promise, and possibility. What we do now defines what we will do. The future is never truly set,” and it is this wisdom that defines the film.

Moviegoer Amanda Minchella says, “For the people who haven’t seen the other X-Men, like myself, the film stands alone. For X-Men fans, the ending will resonate more.”
